Ⅰ、Teaching aims
Knowledge aims: 1. Ss will be able to listen, say and read the following phrases: do kung fu, sing English songs, etc.
2. Ss will be able to listen, read and say the following sentences: What can you do for the party?
I can ….. Ability aims:
Ss will be able to use the main sentences in real situations. Emotion aims:
Ss will be happy to do something for the party and join the party. Ⅱ、The important and difficult points of teaching The important points of teaching
It is important for Ss to use the following sentences ‘What can you do for…?
I can …..’ in the real situation.
The difficult points of teaching
It is a little difficult for Ss to understand and say the sentence ‘We’ll have an English party next Tuesday.’
Teaching aids :Word cards, PPT Ⅲ、Teaching aids : CAI Ⅳ、 、Teaching procedures Step I .Warm up 1. Enjoy the song: What can you do? (设计意图:以<What can you do> 导入,既活跃气氛,又引出新知。)
2. Free talk. Step II.Presentation& Practice 1. Teach What can you do? I can…. T: I can … . What can you do? (设计意图:老师通过谈论自己会做的事情,来引出今天的新句型。)
2. Pair work A: What can you do? B: I can … 2. Present ‘We’ll have an English party next Tuesday.’ T: Look, Who is she?
T: Miss White has good news for you!
T: It says ‘We’ll have an English party next Tuesday.’ So when is the English party?
T shows the calendar to help the Ss to understand the meaning of ‘next Tuesday.’ (设计意图:通过出现 Miss White 的 ‘Good News’ 的方式呈现今天的主题 ‘party’。)
3. Let’s try.
T: Sarah and Mike are talking about the English party, too. Can you guess what can Mike do for the party?
Let’s listen and try to find out What can Mike do for the party? (设计意图:通过 Mike 和 Sarah 讨论 party 来呈现Let’s try 的内容,进入课文。)
4. Teach What can you do for the English party? Sarah: What can you do for the party, Mike? 5. Let’s talk. (1)Mike can draw pictures for the party. How about John and Zhang Peng? What can they do for the party?
(2)Listen and answer Q1: What can John do for the party? Q2: What can Zhang Peng do for the party? 6. Listen and imitate the dialogue.
