P.P.作状语用法

　过去分词 作状语 （讲义）

　2015.10 知识必备：词 过去分词(P.P.) 是非谓语动词的一种形式， 在句中充当状语 ， 通常与逻辑主语 之间存在被动关系，表示被动或完成。

　Ⅰ Ⅰ. P.P. 作状语 ：成 表示被动或动作的完成

　 (1) 表时间

　Seen from the hill, the city looks nice.

　 = (When it is) seen…

　 (2) 表原因

　Exhausted, he felt fast asleep.

　 (3) 表条件

　Given more time, I would have worked out the problem.

　 (4) 表让步

　Beaten hard, he didn’t let out the secret.

　 (5) 表伴随

　The teacher stood there, surrounded by her students.

　Ⅱ Ⅱ. P.P. , V-ing 和不定式作状语 的 区别：

　：

　1 ．V-ing 和 P.P. 作状语:

　( 主动 / 被动)

　 ① Not knowing what to do, he went to us for help.

　 Having fed the geese, she went out.

　(having fed 动作发生在谓语动词前 前)

　② Given more attention, the trees could have grown better. 2． ． 不定式 和 和 V-ing 作状语区别：

　：

　(1) 不定式 ：

　表目的, 可放句首或句末 ( 一般 不用逗号隔开) ；

　V-ing：

　：

　表伴随, 常用逗号隔开。

　① ①? They started early to get there in time. ② ② They stood there, talking about the plan. * I got to the office earlier that day, _____ the 7:30 train from Paddington. A. caught B. to have caught C. to catch

　 D. having caught (2) 作结果状语 ：

　不定式表出乎意料的结果; V-ing 表顺理成章的结果。

　 ① I hurried to his house, only to find him out.

　② The bus was held up by the snow, causing the delay. 3． ． 易混点：done, being done 和 和 having been done ① ① 作主语时, 用 用 being done, 不用 done ；

　例: _______ to sunlight for too much time will do harm to your skin.

　A. Exposed

　 B. Being exposed

　 C. Having exposed

　 D. Exposing

　② ② 作定语时, done 表“ 被…” 或“ 已经…” 或“ 已经被…”; being done 表“ 正在被…” 。

　③ ③ 作状语时, 常用 done 或 having been done (“ 已经被…”) 。

　Ⅲ Ⅲ. 独立主格结构 非谓语动词作状语时 ， 若逻辑主语与句子主语不一致， 要 在其前面加上它的逻辑主语， 此结构称为“ 独立主格结构” 。

　成 构成: 主语 1 + 非谓语, 主语 2 + 谓语 Everything bought, I left the store.

　= With everything bought, I left the store.

　 Ⅳ. 解题步骤 ① ① 是否需要 使用非谓语动词 ② ② 找出句子主语, 分析它与非谓语动词的 主被动 关系

　主动: V-ing

　( 否: not 放在 V-ing 前)

　被动: P.P.

　主动 未做: to do ③ ③ 判断: 非谓语动词和谓语动词的 时间先后
